Government of Rajasthan in implementing Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana (IGMPY), a conditional cash transfer and Social and Behaviour Change Communication scheme for pregnant and lactating women in the five most vulnerable districts of Rajasthan.

Under IGMPY, second-time mothers receive cash transfers of ₹6,000 in five instalments on the fulfilment of certain conditions, such as registration of pregnancy, ante-natal checkups and institutional delivery. What is IGMPY Yojana?

The Indira Gandhi Matritva Sahyog Yojana (IGMSY), now known as IGMPY Yojana, is a government scheme designed to provide financial assistance to pregnant and lactating women. The scheme aims to improve maternal health and reduce malnutrition in mothers and children by offering direct financial support during pregnancy and after childbirth.

  • First Living Child – Preference is given to the first living child, though some states may extend the benefit to other children.

How to Apply for IGMPY Yojana?

  • Visit the Local Health Centre – Go to the nearest Anganwadi or Primary Health Centre (PHC).
  • Fill Out the Application – Complete the application form provided by the health department or Anganwadi workers.
  • Submit Documents – Provide necessary documents like:
    • Proof of pregnancy (medical certificate or ultrasound report)

    • Age proof
    • Aadhar card
